Nakia Littlejohn is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Ms. Littlejohn received her Associate in Psychology and later went on to receive her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama. Ms. Littlejohn received her second Masters in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from UAB a few years later. She is currently working on her Six Sigma Certification and is looking forward to starting the Doctorate of Nursing Program.
Ms. Littlejohn specializes in Tele-Psych, Substance Abuse, Primary Care, children, adolescents, adults and government contracting. Ms. Littlejohn has worked in the medical field for more than 21 years in Tele-Psych, hospice, medical-surgical nursing, community health, skilled nursing facilities, as a hospitalist, inpatient/outpatient psych, family practice, urgent care, internal medicine and substance abuse. She has gained invaluable experience and education under the supervision and collaboration of top-notch physicians and educators. She can order laboratory and diagnostic test, interpret labs, diagnose and manage disorders, prescribe medications and provide therapy.
Nurse Practitioner Littlejohn has been quoted to saying, “I want to serve people in rural communities that do not have the means to get into the city for quality healthcare, I want to bring quality healthcare into their communities only then does a provider feel as though they have made a difference”.
As a mental health nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner my goal is to help patients achieve their highest potential physically, emotionally and spiritually. I educate patients about their disorders while using evidenced based practice treatments. Together we will develop a treatment plan that is unique to the patient.
